Job summary

AMD is seeking highly motivated Firmware Engineering intern/co-op to join our team and work on firmware for AMD’s discrete and embedded products. In this role you will craft, implement, debug, and validate features on reference hardware and pre-silicon environments.

Qualifications

Enrolled in a US-based university in a Master’s program (EE/CS/CE).
Knowledge of C/C++ and hardware architectures.
Experience with embedded systems and RTOS.
Familiar with source control and debugging tools.
Familiar with Linux development environments.
Willing to work in a hybrid/onsite co-op.

Responsibilities

Craft, implement, debug, and validate firmware features on reference hardware and pre-silicon environments.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and project planning.
Develop clear documentation for all software produced.
Work on internal and external platforms and learn AGILE methodologies.
Involvement in firmware/hardware boundary debugging and waveform analysis.
