Job summary

TekWissen Group seeks a Firmware Engineer I to develop firmware for OpenBMC in an Austin environment. You will coordinate with architects, BIOS developers, vendors and QA to deliver robust OpenBMC firmware releases for customer reference boards.

Required are 4–6 years of firmware experience with BMC stacks, plus strong C/C++ and Linux development skills including kernel, drivers, and debugging. This onsite role is a temporary assignment in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• Firmware development experience required in a professional setting.
• Experience with OpenBMC or BMC firmware stacks is mandatory.
• Open-source and linux driver familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware for OpenBMC in collaboration with architects and QA teams.
• Upstream work to OpenBMC community and troubleshoot designs.
• Apply robust software practices to deliver timely, defect-free firmware.
