Position Overview

Siemens Industry, Inc. is looking to fill a permanent position for a Software/Firmware Engineer. You will participate as part of an international project team.

Firmware Engineer I

This position will be remotein the US.

Role Description

Contributes to the design, implementation, and testing of both software and firmware solutions for the Siemens Industry product portfolio. You will work in an agile development environment in a team focused on delivering effective and robust solutions for our customers. As part of this team, you will be included in interactions with domestic and international stakeholders.

You must have attention to detail, proficiency in problem solving and the ability to learn new technologies as needed.

You will win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• Education: BS in Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• 1+ year of C++ programming
• 1+ year Understanding of Object-Oriented design methodologies
• 2 + years’ experience with PLC Programming
• 2 + years’ experience TIA Portal development is highly desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to analyze, modify, and extend existing products and tests
• Exposure to concepts used in simple drives and encoders
• Able to analyze and understand technical requirements and features
• Demonstrate good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers
• Knowledge of embedded programming
• Understanding of how-to unit test embedded systems

The pay range for this position is $ $48,510 - $83,160 and is eligible for 5% Annual Incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
