Job summary

Concept Solutions, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer specializing in Firewall Support to join our Infrastructure Support Team supporting the FAA Infrastructure & Operations program. This role focuses on securing the FAA enterprise network across the NAS and supporting day-to-day cybersecurity initiatives.

The position emphasizes managing Check Point, Fortinet, and Zscaler platforms, incident response, and collaboration with government customers. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field and 8+ years IT experience, or 12+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience managing firewall environments for large-scale orgs with 35,000+ users.
• Hands-on with Check Point, Fortinet, and Zscaler: monitoring, administration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience preventing/detecting/remediating cybersecurity incidents and events.
• Experience developing incident response procedures and participating in security assessments.
• Experience tracking, managing, and resolving incidents through a ticketing system.
• Strong written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to own projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple Check Point Firewall clusters supporting the FAA Internet Access Point (IAP).
• Manage and support the Zscaler Zero Trust platform (Internet Access - ZIA, Private Access - ZPA, Digital Experience - ZDX).
• Implement and manage security capabilities including IPS, Antivirus, Anti-Bot, DLP, SSL Interception, and Identity Awareness.
• Monitor, prevent, identify, investigate, and remediate cybersecurity events and threats.
• Participate in annual security assessments, remediation, and TIC compliance activities.
• Support Cybersecurity Test Facility exercises and incident response procedure development.
• Manage traffic and audit logs for enterprise security systems and SIEM data.
• Collaborate with network, security, and operations teams to ensure availability, integrity, and security of enterprise services.
