Job summary

Code Consultants, Inc. (CCI) is seeking a Building Inspector or an aspiring firestop professional to join our growing team.

We welcome experienced firestop inspectors as well as candidates with a background in construction inspections, building code compliance, special inspections, fire protection, or related fields who are interested in developing their expertise and obtaining firestop inspection certification.

Qualifications

• Previous Building Inspector experience
• Certified Firestop Inspector (preferred), or relevant inspection/construction experience with the desire to become certified
• Knowledge of building construction, fire and life safety systems, or code compliance
• Strong attention to detail and written communication skills
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed
• ICC, fire protection, special inspections, construction quality control, or related experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections of firestop systems and verify code compliance
• Document findings and prepare clear reports for stakeholders
• Collaborate with contractors, owners and project teams to support life safety and quality construction
