Under the direction of the Division Chief of Personnel, this position involves planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising activities within the Fire Rescue Personnel Division. The role includes specialized administrative work such as hiring, onboarding, FMLA, evaluations, workers' compensation, and oversight of related functions as directed by the Personnel Chief or their designee.
The responsibilities include supervising personnel functions, process improvements, monitoring performance, and preparing reports related to workflow and workload. The role also involves ensuring compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations, managing examination processes, processing personnel transactions, maintaining personnel records, participating in interviews, and overseeing data and reports within HR systems like NEOGOV, Tele-Staff, and Firehouse.
Additional duties include participating in position audits, pay surveys, responding to alarms, and performing related work as required.
