Job summary

South County Fire is recruiting for a Firefighter Paramedic. The agency will accept both entry-level and lateral candidates, with lateral applicants needing at least 1 year of full-time FF-Paramedic experience and probation completion within the last 3 years.

Applicants must be 18+, legally eligible to work in the US, hold a Paramedic certification, and possess a valid driver’s license. CPAT is not required at this stage; other disqualifiers may apply.

Qualifications

• CPAT not required for this position.
• Minimum age 18.
• Citizen eligible to work in the US.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Paramedic certification required.
• Minimum 1 year full-time experience as a career Firefighter Paramedic for lateral entry (probation complete within last 3 years).
• Driver's license required.
• Veterans preference points available.
• Other preference points for volunteer firefighter experience.
