The City of Burlington Fire Department is hiring a Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic to provide fire suppression and EMS services in Burlington, Wisconsin. The department is a combination department with full-time and volunteer personnel.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older; legally eligible to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Wisconsin State driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
• Be legally eligible to be employed in the United States.
• Have 2–3 years of service in the Fire industry.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire and emergency calls.
• Provide BLS/ALS and first aid treatment as required.
• Perform firefighting duties.
• Write incident and patient reports.
• Operate radios and communication equipment.
• Conduct equipment, vehicle, and facility maintenance.
• Present fire prevention and education activities to the public.
• Inspect structures for fire code compliance and provide training.
