Qualifications

• Certification as a basic firefighter and Firefighter I & II.
• Hazmat Awareness and Hazmat Operations certifications.
• Wildland Red Card; AEMT and IC 100/200/700/800 preferred; ability to obtain Advanced EMT within 1 year.
• Bondable status required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to structure fires, vehicle collisions, and other emergencies as first line of defense.
• Conduct search and rescue operations in high-stress, low-visibility conditions.
• Operate extrication tools (e.g., Jaws of Life) and ventilation to protect occupants.
• Perform Basic Life Support duties, patient assessment, and EMS communications.
• Engage in daily drills and ongoing training to maintain skills.
