City of Lansing is hiring fully-certified Firefighter/Paramedic candidates to provide fire rescue and EMS services. Qualified applicants possess Firefighter I/II and a current Paramedic license (State of Michigan or National Registry).

The role includes ambulance duties, patient transport, and maintaining equipment as part of a full-time team. Applicants must meet minimum requirements, pass background checks, and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Responds to medical incidents on ambulance or fire apparatus and provides emergency medical care.
• Drives the ambulance to emergency alarms and assignments.
• Maintains ambulance cleanliness, readiness, and inventory as required by policy.
• Performs EMS skills at scenes of accidents and medical emergencies.
• Responds to hazardous materials incidents and fire alarms; conducts rescue operations as directed.
