Job summary

Colerain Township is seeking a Firefighter Paramedic to be stationed at Colerain Fire Station and serve as a first responder to critical medical and fire incidents. The role includes emergency medical and fire responses, training, and in-station activities within Hamilton County, OH.

Qualified candidates must hold a State of Ohio Firefighter Level I and EMT-Paramedic certification (or be enrolled in a paramedic program) and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• State of Ohio Firefighter Level I certification is required.
• Current State of Ohio EMT-Paramedic certification or enrollment in a paramedic program.
• State of Ohio Fire/EMS Instructor certification is required.
• Must possess a valid State issued automobile driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fire and EMS incidents as part of an assigned company.
• Maintain equipment, apparatus, and quarters.
• Administer emergency care using ALS and/or BLS protocols.
• Assist in rescue operations and building inspections for life safety hazards.
• Follow infection control procedures and participate in EMS training.
• Support department operations during emergencies and disasters.
• Perform regular equipment checks and maintain stock.
