Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency medical calls in a timely, safe and skilled manner.
• Interview, assess injuries, analyze emergencies and apply correct medical treatment.
• Maintain EMS equipment, track narcotics, conduct inventories and ensure calibration of gear.
• Enter data into computer systems to prepare Patient Care and Incident Reports.
• Provide fire suppression services, train personnel in EMT skills, and enforce fire codes.
• Prepare thorough reports and communicate with hospital staff via radio.
