Job summary

Town of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts seeks experienced Firefighter/Paramedics to join our Fire Department as we launch a town-owned Fire-Based Ambulance service. The package includes health insurance, a Group 4 pension, EAP, professional development, 12 holidays, and generous PTO with disability coverage.

Salary ranges from $76,535.80 to $86,353.04 with a Paramedic Stipend, based on experience. Join a growing department expanding with EMS integration, modern equipment, and strong community support.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Firefighter/Paramedic highly preferred.
• Massachusetts EMT-Paramedic certification highly preferred (EMT-Basics in paramedic school considered).
• Graduation from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy (MFA) highly preferred.
• Must live within 25 miles of Shrewsbury within nine months after appointment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid MA Driver’s License required.
• Must pass thorough background investigation, medical examination, psychological evaluation, and PAT.
