Responsibilities

• Responds to emergency calls for fire suppression.
• Responds to medical calls and transportation.
• Responds to hazardous material incidents.
• Operates, drives, utilizes and/or maintains various firefighting and medical equipment.
• Operates a personal computer or other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions.
• Makes periodic public presentations.
• Fire safety training develops, plans and participates in Fire prevention/safety.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• State of Georgia Basic Firefighter Certification or completion within one (1) year (Department provides training).
• Must be a Paramedic in the State of Georgia.
• Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certification.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license.
