City of Victoria Fire Department is hiring a Firefighter/EMT to respond to emergencies, provide fire suppression and emergency medical services, and participate in rescue operations to protect lives and property. The role requires passing a civil service examination and meeting minimum eligibility requirements as outlined by Local Rules.

The department offers a 48/96 shift schedule and additional incentives for Paramedic and firefighter certifications, with the potential for sign-on bonuses

Qualificações

• Be able to read, write, and converse in English.
• Be a United States citizen.
• Possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
• Be at least 18 years old and not have reached 36th birthday as of written exam.
• Be a high school graduate or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to emergency incidents with assigned company and provide fire suppression and EMS.
• Assist in rescue operations and perform duties to protect lives and property.
• Maintain and inspect departmental equipment, facilities, and apparatus.
• Participate in public fire education and school/community outreach.
• Attend training sessions and maintain required certifications.
• Perform all duties safely and in compliance with city rules and policies.
