Eddy County, New Mexico is hiring a Firefighter/EMT-Certified to perform firefighting and EMS duties. The selected candidate will be sworn, pass NFPA 1583 physicals, operate firefighting apparatus as the on-shift driver, and participate in training and public relations tasks as needed.

The role follows a 48-hour on / 96-hour off duty schedule. Responsibilities include equipment checks, responding to emergencies, maintaining readiness of apparatus and facilities, and performing other duties as

Formación

• Must pass NFPA 1583 physical annually.
• Sworn firefighting position and shift assignment.
• Operate a variety of firefighting apparatus as driver on shift.
• Assist with public relations and other duties as directed.

Responsabilidades

• Complete apparatus and facility checks and maintain equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and provide firefighting/EMS duties.
• Work a 48 hour on duty / 96 hour off duty schedule.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision and under supervision of Fire Chief or designee.
