Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ohio firefighter II certification is required.
• Must be EMT certified by the State of Ohio.
• Must enroll in a paramedic program within 6 months of hire and complete within 36 months.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license is required.
• Ability to participate in physically demanding work under varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Responds to fire and emergency medical alarms.
• Assists in fire suppression activities.
• Administers basic and advanced life support and EMS care.
• Operates emergency equipment, pumps, and hoses.
• Drives City vehicles during emergencies.
• Performs routine safety inspections and training participation.
