Job summary

City of Fulton’s Fire Department seeks dedicated firefighters to protect life and property across Fulton, MO. The role emphasizes firefighting, hazardous materials response, EMS support, and ongoing training to maintain readiness.

Candidates will engage in community fire prevention, station maintenance, and public education while working in a demanding but essential service environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Missouri Firefighter I & 2 certification is required.
• Missouri HazMat Awareness certification required.
• Operation certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to fires, alarms, vehicle accidents and hazmat incidents.
• Lays, connects, and operates hoses; directs water streams; uses tools for rescue and forcible entry.
• Maintains equipment and station facilities; conducts regular inspections and drills.
• Provides emergency medical care on scene and supports EMS crews.
• Educates the public on fire safety and conducts life safety education.
