Job summary

The City of Iola is accepting applications for Firefighters with EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic certification. These positions are responsible for fire prevention, fire suppression, and emergency rescue in conjunction with emergency medical care and life support.

Base annual salary starts at EMT $47,683, AEMT $52,501, and Paramedic $56,151, with ADA and EOE.

Qualifications

• Certification as EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic required.
• Firefighter eligibility and certification validation per municipal requirements.
• EMS duties may include pre-hospital care and life support within firefighting context.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fire prevention and suppression activities.
• Perform emergency rescue operations and vehicle extrication as needed.
