Qualifications

• 18 years of age minimum with a high school diploma or GED.
• Fifteen credits from an accredited college, or DD214/active military, or EMPCO score 75% or more.
• Valid Driver’s License and future licensure requirements after training.

Responsibilities

• Attend fire academy and EMT classes to qualify for certification and licensure as Firefighter/EMT.
• Clean apparatus and equipment and perform custodial duties.
• Participate in ride-alongs with on-duty crews.
• Complete academic and physical training for future Firefighter duties.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties such as typing and data entry.
• Assist with safety education and community events.
