Job summary

The City of Henderson Fire Department is hiring full-time firefighters to protect residents and property in Henderson, TX. Training is provided for those without prior firefighting experience, with duties including responding to fires, educating the public on fire safety, and supporting station operations.

Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a Texas Class B Driver’s License, a Texas Basic Firefighter Certification, and EMT-B or higher EMS training.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Texas Class B Driver’s License.
• Texas Commission on Fire Protection Basic Firefighter Certification.
• Texas Department of Health EMT-B or higher emergency medical training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and extinguish fires.
• Conduct fire prevention activities and safety education for the public.
• Provide basic life support at fire scenes (if certified).
• Assist in maintaining fire station operations and readiness.

As a Full-Time Firefighter, you will play a key role in protecting the residents and property of Henderson. Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding to and extinguishing fires
• Conducting fire prevention activities and safety education for the public
• Providing basic life support services at fire scenes (if certified)
• Assisting in maintaining fire station operations and readiness
