Job summary

The Judicial Branch Security Trainer for Maricopa County Superior Court oversees, coordinates, and conducts departmental firearms training and annual re-certification for staff in accordance with ACJA and JBSD requirements.

This role requires in-classroom and field instruction, safety training, and effective communications with staff across levels. A CSO certification and related credentials must be obtained and maintained within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Three (3) of security training and/or law enforcement instruction
• Incumbent must possess a State-wide CSO certification and maintain that certification annually
• Must obtain CSO Firearm and CSO Firearm Instructor cert within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver initial firearms training program, and ensure annual re-certification
• Oversee firearms training in classroom and range; maintain staff certifications
• Develop curriculum, guides, manuals, and training materials per ACJA requirements
• Track training data and yearly certification timelines
