Job summary

EZCORP, a leading pawn lender, is seeking a Firearms Specialist in Bossier City, LA. The role centers on expert firearms knowledge, safety, and compliance, with experience in retail or related settings.

You will manage the firearms department, drive profitability through buying, selling, and loaning of firearms, and ensure ATF and 4473 compliance while training team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service/sales and firearms experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state firearms regulations.
• Able to pass criminal and ATF background check and drug test.
• Experience with 4473 forms is a plus.
• Sales background is a plus; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate firearms values presented as collateral.
• Manage firearms department including merchandising, pricing, and inventory.
• Ensure firearm compliance (4473, NICS and related forms).

Here’s what you can expect as a Firearms Specialist: The ideal Firearms Specialist will have vast firearms knowledge and extensive gun handling experience. Familiarity with long guns and pistols is critical. This experience may be from prior retail, hunting, or the collecting of firearms.

The Firearms Specialist is responsible for all aspects of managing the firearms department, including driving profitability through buying, selling, and loaning on firearms.

The Firearms Specialist completes all 4473 forms (when present), is responsible for all aspects of compliance with ATF guidelines and ensures the store’s FFL status stays in good standing.

Additional Duties

• Evaluating the value of firearms presented as collateral.
• General management of the store’s firearms and firearm accessories, including merchandising, pricing, inventory controls, and evaluation
• Adhering to firearm compliance, such as appropriate certifications, gun book, 4473, NICS and/or other federal/state agency forms
• Meeting or exceeding financial targets set for the firearms department.
• Establishing meaningful and respectful relationships with customers
• Training Team Members on proper handling of and transactions involving firearms.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of customer service/sales and firearms experience
