Scheels is hiring a Firearms Sales Associate in a retail environment. You will actively greet customers, provide world-class service, and assist with firearms questions and purchases while adhering to strict safety and compliance standards.
The role requires ensuring paperwork like Form 4473 and background checks are completed accurately, plus maintaining product knowledge across firearms, ammo, reloading, and optics. Strong communication and sales skills are essential.

The Firearms Sales Associate is responsible for actively seeking out customers in our store, greeting them in an upbeat and professional manner while providing world class customer service and assisting with firearms questions and purchases.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or 1-3 months of cashiering experience
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates. Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.
This position will include 1-2 shifts a week, Monday through Friday varied shifts, 9:30 A.M-9:00 P.M, and every other weekend. Saturday shifts will vary between 9:30 A.M to 9:00P.M and Sundays 11:00 A.M- 7:00P.M. In addition there will be two 1.5 hour Product Knowledge meetings per month. On average, this position will be 15-20 hours per week.
$18. The hourly rate posted includes estimated personal sales commission and base hourly wage.
