Position Summary

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms is responsible for maintaining Counter Sales and Customer Service for Firearms, along with Floor and Counter Sales of other Hunting Merchandise. Responsibilities include greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and friendly, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction to customers.

Essential Functions

• Supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Assists customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs, making product recommendations, and promoting programs like CLUB membership, VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Ensures 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrates product knowledge to customers.
• Organizes and maintains merchandise within the store for sales at the Gun Counter.
• Replenishes products on shelves per merchandising guidelines.
• Maintains ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stays informed about advertised sales, pricing, and signage.
• Assists with seasonal merchandise moves.
• Keeps work area clean, neat, and stocked.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 21 years or older.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Product knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition.
• Knowledge of ATF Federal and State Regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience in Firearms and Ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA regulations.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

• Constant standing and walking during shifts.
• Occasional climbing ladders, stairs, and ramps.
• Frequent communication exchanges.
