Job summary

Tharos Training Center in Upper Marlboro, MD, seeks a Firearms Instructor for a temporary full-time role to train Protective Service Officers and related contract personnel across the NCR, delivering required curricula and ensuring proficiency and certification.

You will conduct firearms handling and safety training, First Aid, CPR/AED, and Active Shooter response, with travel to contract sites as needed, reporting to the Training Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Three to Five Years of instructor experience.
• Must read, write, understand, and speak English professionally.
• Moderate Excel programming skills.
• Moderate Word document creation, editing and publishing skills.
• Moderate PowerPoint presentation creation and editing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training curriculum as prescribed by each client.
• Ensure officers attain proficiency and certification across contracts.
• Provide firearms handling familiarization and proficiency training.
• Conduct First Aid and CPR/AED instruction as required.
• Lead Active Shooter/Threat Training and related topics.
