Job summary

CZ-USA (Dan Wesson) seeks a hands-on technician to support product documentation and development, working with quality and assembly teams to create remedial processes and tooling documentation.

You will operate 3-axis machining centers, use CAD/CAM for CAD models and G-code, conduct tests, and help develop test procedures while maintaining accurate records and complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–3 years of proven experience setting up and operating 3-axis machining centers.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of fixture and tooling selection.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize 3D CAD software for creation and review of 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Investigate and solve product-related problems.
  • Develop test plans and conduct product testing; create detailed test reports.
  • Maintain standards for technical drawings and internal specifications.
  • Operate CAD/CAM for review and production of G-code and M-code for CNC equipment.
  • Support assembly, quality, and product departments during testing and validation.
  • Accurately complete paperwork and records; maintain attendance and safety.

Job description

Job Purpose: To support CZ-USA and Dan Wesson technical needs as they relate to existing and new product documentation and development; cooperation with quality and assembly departments to support the creation of remedial processes; cooperation with sales, marketing, and product teams to provide appropriate technical expertise as needed. Operate manual and CNC prototyping equipment to support current production and new product development needs. Assist in development of product test procedure documentation and carry out product testing as necessary.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• Utilize 3D CAD software for the creation and review 3D models and 2D drawings• Investigate and solve product-related problems.• Develop test plans, conduct product testing, and create detailed test reports.• Maintain standards for technical drawings, internal specifications, and related engineering documentation.• Complete other tasks assigned by supervisor• Aptitude for detail with the ability to work in a team environment required to Develop, implement and monitor quality assurance standards in cooperation with other departments and personnel.• Utilizes CAD/CAM for the review, analysis, and production of g-code and m-code for CNC equipped machining equipment• Support the assembly, quality, and product departments through fabrication of necessary items for the fulfillment of testing, validating, assembling, and inspecting product.• Support department colleagues as needed• Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork and records in a timely manner• Participate in ongoing learning through educational opportunities and professional publications• Maintain regular and punctual attendance to support workflow continuity• Adhere to all company policies and procedures• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or managerQUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily.
