Job summary

Servpro is seeking a Fire & Water Mitigation Lead at our Chicago location. The role offers career pathing, manager-in-training opportunities, and a hiring bonus of $1,500.

You will help make properties look like new after fire and water damage and contribute to a fast-paced mitigation team. The position requires on-call availability, prior restoration experience (fire, water, mold), and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license.
• Restoration experience in fire, water, mold remediation.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Overtime may be required to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities and set up staging area and equipment.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform production processes as directed.
• End-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown; leave jobsite clean and orderly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
• Perform production processes as directed.
• Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Leave jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Previous restoration experience: fire, water, mold remediation
• On Call Duties
  
• Authorized to Work in the United States
• At least 18 years of age
• Overtime, to meet the needs of our customers
  

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
