Job summary
US Fire Pump Company in Holden, LA is seeking an experienced Fire Truck Service Mechanic to diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair fire trucks and related equipment currently in service.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with diesel engines, 12-volt electrical systems, heavy-duty truck maintenance, and advanced diagnostic techniques. Hydraulic system experience is a plus, and occasional involvement in production testing may occur.
Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems on heavy-duty vehicles.
- Hands-on repair experience with diesel engines and diesel-powered equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and operational problems on fire trucks and related equipment.
- Identify root causes using diagnostic procedures and documentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing on heavy-duty trucks and emergency vehicles.
- Inspect and repair diesel engines and 12-volt electrical systems.
