Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

The Finish Assembler I is responsible for the installation of basic final parts on fire apparatus as called for in the specifications. They are responsible for competing items up to the 90-day assessment in a timely manner while keeping quality standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

All employees are required to support Rosenbauer’s Mission, Vision, and Values.The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.

  1. This position must be able to complete items on the 30,60, and 90-day assessment without assistance and with good quality in a timely manner.

  2. Responsible for the installation of mud flaps, shelves, slide trays, hose bed dividers, and other final parts.

  3. Reads and understands specs and blueprints to build fire apparatus.

  4. Utilizes a variety of basic hand tools to complete the installation of final parts to the fire apparatus.

  5. Utilizes brake press, plasma cutter, DA sander, and other equipment.

  6. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

  • High school diploma/GED required.

  • 6 months of related experience is preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

  • Able to recognize the importance and adhere to all safety policies to promote a safe working environment.

  • Able to read and work from blueprints/spec book.

  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
