Job description

Overview

Fire Technology Professional Expert – Part-time, Short-Term Temp. Location: Porterville, CA. Department: Career & Technical Education. This is a temporary, professional expert opportunity. Salary will be determined upon completion of the temporary employment agreement.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with fire subject matter instruction, manipulous skills, and skills testing.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience, directly related to the teaching assignment.
  • OR Associate’s degree and six years of professional experience, directly related to the teaching assignment.
  • AND - A demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Note: Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an evaluation service.

Note: The screening of candidates will be conducted by a screening committee. The committee reserves the right to limit the number of interviews. Meeting the minimum qualifications does not assure an interview.
