Utah Department of Natural Resources is seeking a Fire Technician IV for an Engine Crew Supervisor role in Central Utah. The position oversees a Type 3/4 engine, supports wildland firefighting, and coordinates crew staffing and training in Sanpete County.
The role requires ENGB and ICT5 qualifications, a CDL with Tanker endorsement, and the ability to perform demanding field work with travel and camping as needed.

Central Utah Forestry Fire & State Lands and Sanpete County are seeking a reliable and motivated individual with leadership experience on a wildland engine for an Engine Crew Supervisor position. This is a benefited time limited position. This position will be supervised by the Sanpete County Warden and will occasionally share in workload responsibilities with the Assistant Warden. The Engine Crew Supervisor will manage and supervise a Type 3/4 Engine that provides suppression response within the RIFC Dispatch area and Sanpete County. The Engine Will support off district assignments when local conditions allow. When not on assignment or responding to local initial attack in the Area, the incumbant will work closely with the Area's Fuels Crew managed under the WUI Program Manager on fuels mitigation projects. The incumbent will be in charge of scheduling staffing needs; training crew members; tracking and maintaining equipment inventory; drive, operate, and preform preventative maintenance on the engine; supervising crew members on fuels mitigation projects and wildfire assignments; assisting with administrative work such as time-sheets, purchasing, project and fire billing, injury reports, and personnel evaluations.
