Job summary

The City of Anoka is seeking a Fire Technician to respond to emergencies and protect lives and property through firefighting, rescue, hazmat response, and emergency medical services. The role also involves supporting fire prevention, operations, and training divisions under the Battalion Chief's direction.

• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in Fire Service.
• Current Minnesota Firefighter License or the ability to obtain upon hire.
• Certification at the Emergency Medical Responder Level or higher.
• Minnesota State Fire Service Certifications: Firefighter I & II; Haz-Mat Ops; Fire Apparatus Operator; NIMS 100 and 200.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted Minnesota Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
• Must meet standard background check and Pre-employment physical and drug screen.

The City of Anoka is accepting applications for a Fire Technician (FT).

This position will be responsible for responding to emergencies and protecting life and property through effective firefighting, rescue, hazardous materials response, and emergency medical services. This position will assist with supporting the day-to-day operations of the fire department by supporting fire prevention, operations, and training divisions as well as other duties as directed by the Battalion Chief.
