Koorsen Fire and Security in South Bend, IN is seeking a Fire Systems Inspector to join our field team. You will inspect Fire Alarm and Sprinkler systems, test components, document deficiencies, and educate customers on system functionality.

We value hands-on mechanical experience, strong communication, and the ability to read diagrams and blueprints. A valid driver's license and licensing/certifications are required; occasional travel may be necessary.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of mechanical experience.
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with electronic testing devices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, Security experience.
• Fire Alarm Manufacturer’s Certifications
• Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of IT functionality
• NICET certification

Salary

$19 - $25 / hour, depending on experience.

Physical Demands

• Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
• Lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs. Push and pull more significantly than 75 lbs.
• To perform services, climb a ladder to a height of at least 12 feet, use a man lift, and reach heights exceeding 40 feet.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear.
