Job summary

KOORSEN FIRE & SECURITY INC. in Dayton, OH seeks a Fire Systems Inspector to inspect and test fire alarm and sprinkler systems, document deficiencies, and explain system functionality to customers. This full-time role offers strong benefits and room for growth.

Salary ranges from $19.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience. Applicants must meet licensing and vendor certification requirements and pass drug/background checks. Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security industry.
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with electronic testing devices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
• Valid driver’s license.

SALARY up to $35/HOUR, DEPENDING UPON EXPERIENCE

Required

• 1+ years experience in the Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security industry.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred

• Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of IT functionality
• Backflow, Fire Alarm or Standpipe license

Physical Demands

• Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
• Lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.; push and pull more significant than 75 lbs.
• Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet, use a man lift, and reach heights exceeding 40 feet to perform services.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
