KOORSEN FIRE & SECURITY INC. in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Fire Systems Inspector to inspect and test Fire Alarm and Sprinkler systems, verify functionality, and document any deficiencies for our customers.

The role requires 1+ years of mechanical skills with backflow experience preferred, ability to read diagrams and specifications, and a valid driver’s license. You’ll join a team that emphasizes safety, ongoing learning, and career growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of mechanical skills experience (backflow experience preferred).
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
• Experience with electronic testing devices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and have a valid driver’s license.
• Backflow certification preferred and basic IT familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test Fire Alarm/Sprinkler systems and document deficiencies.

$19 - $25 / hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• The inspection and test of Fire Alarm/Sprinkler systems and their components to ensure proper functionality.
• Inspect and test Fire Alarm/Sprinkler systems and document any deficiencies.
• Ensure customers understand the functionality of their system.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally.

Required

• 1+ years of mechanical skills experience with backflow experience preferred
• Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications

• Pass drug and background screenings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications.
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred

• Backflow certification
• Proficiency working in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of IT functionality

Physical Demands

• Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
• Lift and carry a minimum of 75 lbs.; push and pull more significant than 75 lbs.
• Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet, use a man lift, and reach heights exceeding 40 feet to perform services.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
