Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Suppression Service Technician to inspect, test, service, and maintain fire suppression systems and extinguishers across commercial and industrial sites. The role involves hands-on, field-based work with opportunities for training and mentorship to grow in the life safety trades.

Requirements include 1–3 years in fire suppression service, a high school diploma or GED, physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, a valid driver’s license, and readiness to travel.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in fire suppression system service.
• High school diploma or GED is required; technical experience is a plus.
• Physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds and working on ladders or in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Strong communication and documentation skills with customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and recharge kitchen and industrial fire suppression systems and portable extinguishers.
• Assemble, install, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Ensure all work meets NFPA and local code requirements.
• Document work performed and communicate findings with customers and internal teams.
• Represent Encore professionally on every job site and work both independently and in a team.
