Job summary

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Fire Suppression System Mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK. The role performs installation, maintenance, and repair of fire suppression systems in line with NFPA standards and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities include inspections, testing, and documentation of work orders, with strict adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency.
• Current state driver’s license with proof of insurance.
• Five (5) years’ experience repairing and testing suppression systems.
• Licenses: Sprinkler Technician License with ability to obtain OK Sprinkler Technician License within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain Oklahoma Fire Extinguisher License.
• Knowledge of addressable and conventional alarm panels.
• Knowledge of water mist, CO2, backflow testing and fire pumps.
• Ability to operate lifts and use various hand/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems per NFPA standards.
• Inspect pressure gauges and recharge/replace containers.
• Test fire suppression equipment and pumps; replace defective components.
• Inspect kitchen hood equipment and replace components.
• Collaborate with other mechanics and respond to emergencies.
• Plan work from blueprints and instructions; document work orders.
• Adhere to safety regulations and wear PPE; ensure customer satisfaction.
