Job summary

Thompson Safety is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician in Colorado to install, test, inspect, service and repair fire sprinkler systems. You will respond to emergencies, troubleshoot components and prepare inspection reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a Fire Sprinkler Technician preferred.
• Willing to support training for entry-level candidates.
• Solid knowledge of fire sprinkler systems installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Familiarity with NFPA 13, 25, 14, 20 and local fire codes preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install, service and upgrade sprinkler systems.
• Respond to emergencies during and after hours to address safety concerns.
• Perform annual, semi-annual, and quarterly inspections of Life Safety Systems.
• Write inspection and service reports, noting deficiencies and required corrections.
• Troubleshoot faults and diagnose malfunctions in sprinkler systems.
• Perform system upgrades, modifications and expansions as needed.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors and team members for quality work.
• Maintain accurate records of service, inspection and inventory.
• Provide technical guidance on operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Stay current with industry trends, codes and technological advances.
