Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC is seeking skilled sprinkler technicians for Springfield, MA. The role offers $38.00 to $50.00 per hour plus performance bonus potential, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus based on experience and relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include inspection, installation, and repair of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and foam systems; testing and backflow work; and NFPA-compliant service delivery to ensure systems operate reliably.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter license required for MA techs.
• Connecticut Fire Sprinkler license required for CT techs.
• 1–3 years field experience in fire sprinkler and backflow service.
• Fire and/or Life Safety Systems experience.
• Must have or be able to attain state sprinkler and/or backflow license.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to visually inspect systems.
• NFPA codes knowledge and ability to thread sprinkler piping.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspection of system, disable horn & strobes, and alert alarm company and fire department.
• Install/hang sprinkler systems and components per NFPA and engineering guidelines.
• Install or replace wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge and foam systems as needed.
• Repair and/or replace all sprinkler systems components.
• Repair, replace and rebuild backflow preventers as necessary.
• Prepare sprinkler pipe, using threader when needed, and stock truck with inventory for the job.
• Work efficiently and utilize resources to complete jobs in a timely manner.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep work truck clean and organized.
• Manage inventory and tools for each job to ensure proper parts on hand.
• Manage the installation job site safely, keeping it clean, organized, and professional.
• Complete NFPA certification and life safety testing, maintaining current knowledge of NFPA code.

Responsible for inspection, installation, and repair of Wet, Dry, Pre-action, Deluge and Foam systems; Testing, rebuilding and/or replacing Backflow Preventers. Responsible for identifying trouble areas and performing service in an efficient and professional manner to ensure that sprinkler systems are operating properly.

Located out of our Springfield, MA office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven success in performance of Sprinkler inspection, installation, and service is highly preferred.
• NICET Certification in Inspection & Testing of Water-Based Systems and/or Water-Based Systems Layout, preferred.
