Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a dedicated Sprinkler Service Technician to inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. You will work directly with clients and contractors to ensure compliance with NFPA standards and safety for occupants at various sites.

Located in New Castle, Delaware, this role requires strong troubleshooting, excellent communication, and a valid driver's license with a willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Solid understanding of NFPA 13, NFPA 25 and relevant codes.
• NICET certifications strongly preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining and repairing fire sprinkler systems in commercial/industrial settings.
• Excellent communication and customer service; valid driver's license with clean record; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair, and maintain fire sprinkler systems to NFPA 25 standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection and test reports documenting findings.
• Test system functionality of sprinkler heads, valves, piping, pumps, and controls.
• Inspect piping for corrosion or leaks and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
• Perform maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Inspect pump assemblies, test flow rates and pressures, verify mechanical integrity.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies to restore functionality.
• Document all activities in the Service Trade platform; coordinate with Deficiency Sellers for estimates.
• Schedule work with clients and coordinate with service coordinators; maintain safety and organization.
