Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking a skilled fire sprinkler technician in the Orlando–Sanford, FL area to service and repair wet and dry sprinkler piping systems, fixtures and related components. You will work with PVC/CPVC piping, perform testing for leaks, and handle OS&Y valves and repacking kits as needed.

Extended hours and on-call availability are required. Pre-employment drug screen and clean MVR are required; 2–3 years of related experience or a GED is preferred, with experience reading

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2–3 years related experience preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting fire sprinkler installation plans preferred.
• Experience with anti-freeze loops and pre-action systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair wet fire sprinkler systems, including piping, fittings, valves and sprinkler heads.
• Service and repair dry fire sprinkler systems and associated components.
• Work with OS&Y valves and repacking kits as needed.
• Install and secure piping using clamps, brackets and hangers; test for leaks.
• Operate and maintain air compressors and related controls.
• Test piping systems for leaks by pressurizing and reading gauges.
• Adhere to safety procedures and work extended hours including nights and weekends.
