Job summary

Century Fire Protection designs fire protection sprinkler systems for industrial, commercial, and residential applications, and handles project designs and submittals. Based in the Division 53 Austin, TX area, this role involves creating detailed designs, coordinating with leadership for permits, and supporting field teams during installation and testing.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of related experience; NICET certification is a plus, and proficiency with

High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-3 years related experience and/or training; NICET certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design fire protection sprinkler systems including pumps, tanks, wet, dry, pre-action and deluge systems with accuracy for field installation.
Submit design plans to leadership for approval and permits as required.
Calculate dimensions and resize for production.
Design within allocated hours for each job.
Review work orders to determine critical design dimensions.
Prepare submittal packages and correspondence for design approval.
Prepare fabrication lists for pipe fabrication vendor and requisition materials.
Perform field surveys to ensure design suitability.
Assist field personnel with installation issues.
Prepare and submit final job close-out documents after Acceptance testing.
