Job summary

Century Fire Protection in Jacksonville, FL seeks an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee fire sprinkler installation projects, supervise foremen and crews, coordinate trades, and ensure safety, schedule, and NFPA compliance on job sites.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, 10+ years in sprinkler installation, and NICET III/IV preferred. Proficiency reading construction drawings and coordinating multi-trade work is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of fire sprinkler installation experience.
• NICET Level III or IV in Fire Protection preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of fire sprinkler system installation on one or multiple job sites.
• Supervise foremen, fitters, helpers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate manpower, material deliveries, and equipment to meet schedules.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and project specs.
• Conduct site inspections to maintain quality and safety.
• Serve as primary field contact for project managers, general contractors, and inspectors.
• Mentor and develop field personnel, including foremen and assistant superintendents.
• Support commissioning, testing, and inspections of fire sprinkler systems.
• Resolve field issues and change orders with other trades.
• Enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
