Job summary

Advanced Fire Protection Services, Inc. is seeking a Level 2 Sprinkler System Service Technician in Florida. The role involves repairing, maintaining, and renovating all types of fire protection systems, coordinating with monitoring companies and authorities, and preparing documentation and proposals.

A strong knowledge of NFPA codes and field coordination is essential. Qualified candidates have a HS diploma, valid driver's license, BASA/FASA certification, and 1 year of fire protection

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License.
• BASA and FASA Certification.
• 1 year in related fire protection industry OR 3 years' experience in similar industry.
• Ability to be insured on company automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and renovate all types of fire protection systems
• Load and handle equipment as needed
• Inspect equipment
• Coordinate with monitoring companies, fire departments and other authorities to avoid false alarms and unreported true alarms
• Prepare reports
• Requisition materials and equipment anticipating future needs
• Service systems per manufacturer's maintenance manual, the law, and the adopted Standards of the National Fire Protection Association
• Complete follow-up documentation
• Prepare proposals
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with not more than 75% supervision
