Fire Sprinkler Service Technician – Entry Level to Experienced
Long Island / New York City | Manhattan & Five Boroughs
We're growing — and we're hiring TWO Fire Sprinkler Service Technicians to join our New York team.
Relay Fire & Safety is expanding our sprinkler service business across New York City and Long Island, and we're looking for both an entry-level technician who wants to build a career in fire protection and an experienced sprinkler professional ready for their next opportunity.
Whether you've spent years servicing and inspecting sprinkler systems or you're earlier in your career with mechanical, plumbing, pipefitting, construction or fire protection experience, we'd like to hear from you.
You do not need to check every box to apply.
Our New York team is based on Long Island, with the majority of our service work located throughout Manhattan and the five boroughs of New York City.
As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you'll work with commercial customers performing inspection, testing, troubleshooting, service and repair of fire sprinkler and related water-based fire protection systems.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a growing fire and life safety company where there is room to learn, develop and advance.
Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include:
Newer to the industry? You'll have the opportunity to continue building your technical knowledge and hands-on fire protection experience.
Already experienced? We're looking for technicians who can bring strong sprinkler service, inspection, testing and troubleshooting skills to a growing operation.
We're hiring at multiple experience levels.
We'd especially like to talk with you if you have:
NICET certification is welcomed, but it is not required for this opportunity.
You may be a fit if you have:
Existing S-12/S-13 or other local certifications are a plus, but we encourage developing technicians to apply even if you don't have them yet. We will helop you obtain them!!
Our branch is located on Long Island, but most of this position's field work takes place in Manhattan and throughout New York City's five boroughs.
Many of our New York technicians use NYC public transportation to travel to customer locations. Relay covers eligible work-related NYC transit/OMNY expenses in accordance with Company policy.
A Company vehicle is not provided for this position.
We want candidates to understand the travel expectations upfront — if you're comfortable navigating NYC and would rather take the train than spend your day fighting Manhattan traffic, you may actually consider that a perk.
Relay Fire & Safety is growing — and these two openings are a direct result of new business and continued expansion in the New York market.
We're building for the future, and we're looking for technicians who want the opportunity to grow with us.
Our mission at Relay is simple: make the world a safer place.
We provide fire and life safety solutions designed to protect people and property, backed by decades of industry experience and a team committed to exceptional service.
At Relay, we believe in being a company where employees are proud to work, attracting and retaining great people, and being a trusted partner to every customer we serve.
If you're an experienced sprinkler technician looking for your next opportunity — or you're ready to take the next step and build your career in fire protection — we want to hear from you.
