Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced technician to independently service, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems at multiple job sites. You will diagnose deficiencies, perform corrective repairs, and complete documentation for each service call.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 3+ years in the fire safety industry, and NICET Level I or higher preferred. A valid driving license is required where applicable, and travel to sites will be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).
• Adheres to safety procedures and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.

• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Other Duties

• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.

Salary Range

• $28 - $35/hr depending on experience
