Job summary

Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Service Foreman/Technician for our Southeast region.

You will lead installation projects, supervise fitters and apprentices, and ensure on-time, on-budget completion of commercial and multi-family systems in compliance with codes and WAFS standards. The role requires strong blueprint-reading, system testing, and leadership abilities, with a willingness to work irregular hours and be on 24-hour emergency rotation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a fire sprinkler foreman or in a related role.
• Extensive knowledge installing fire sprinkler systems, reading blueprints, and conducting system testing.
• Experience supervising fitters and apprentices on-site.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the installation of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to required standards.
• Oversee layout, assembly, and installation of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment.
• Assist in completing service work orders, including carrying materials and equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
• Perform maintenance and replacement of system components (valves, gauges, switches).
• Notify management of issues on the job site and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Develop relationships with general contractors to meet project goals.
• Complete reports such as time sheets, accident reports, and production docs on time.
