Job summary

Fire Safety First (FSF) in Southern California seeks a Fire Sprinkler Service & Retrofit Technician to install, modify, and repair sprinkler systems on commercial sites. You’ll work from plans, identify code issues, and collaborate with engineers and property managers to ensure code compliance and client satisfaction.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, knowledge of NFPA 13/25 and the California Fire Code, and a valid fitter license (or willingness to obtain one).

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation/service.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 13, NFPA 25, and the California Fire Code.
• Proficiency in fire sprinkler fitting, holding/obtaining a fitter license, and reading construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair automatic fire sprinkler systems across commercial environments.
• Complete new installations using plan symbols and construction terminology.
• Identify code violations and propose clear, effective fixes.
• Execute tenant improvements (TIs) and office builds, relocations, additions to layouts.
