Job summary

Associated Fire Protection in Clayton, NC is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager to lead sprinkler projects from design through closeout. You will apply hydraulic calculations, NFPA standards, and field coordination with GCs, engineers, and owners.

Qualifications

• Strong background in fire sprinkler system design.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience for APM-level consideration.
• 5+ years combined sprinkler design/project-management experience for PM I.
• Experience with AutoCAD and HydraCAD/HydraCALC.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13 and hydraulic calculations.
• Ability to read contracts, specifications, and construction documents.
• Excellent project organization and scheduling skills.
• Professional customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage and/or support commercial and industrial fire sprinkler projects.
• Provide technical fire sprinkler design expertise.
• Review contracts, specifications, scopes, qualifications, and exclusions.
• Coordinate design, permitting, fabrication, and installation schedules.
• Perform and/or review hydraulic calculations.
• Review drawings for code compliance and constructability.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, ASIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with General Contractors, owners, architects, engineers, and AHJs.
• Lead or participate in project meetings.
• Support Designers and developing team members.
